What are Thingamapets?
Thingamapets are lovable plush pets that contain an MP3 player, a great sounding speaker that let the user fill their pets memory with stories, songs and all kinds of fun content. In the back of each ThingamaPet is a USB cable that connects to our website and allows the user to purchase and download great kids content. ThingamaPet owners may also choose to load their own MP3 files.


I just bought a ThingamaPet - how do I register?
On the welcome page, click on “Register My Pet”. The registration page will guide you through a simple process for registration.


Can I load songs purchased from Itunes?
Content purchased from itunes is usually protected with Apples Ipod encryption. This is known as “DRM” or Digital Rights Managed technology. Recently Apple I tunes began selling “DRM-free” content. This DRM- free content may load on your pet.


How much content does my ThingamaPet hold?
Thingamapets have a 128 megabyte player in them. Normally this will hold about 2 hours of average encoded MP3 content. Some MP3s are encoded at a higher rate (196k for example) in order to sound better. The result means a larger sound file. Books on tape are recorded at 48k often because it is only speech and thus much longer playing material can be put on your pet. The vast majority of our content is encoded at 128k bit rate.


How do I clean my ThingamaPet?
Since your Thingamapet contains elelctronic components, it is important that you never get your ThingamaPet wet. However, you may spot clean surface blemishes with a cloth lightly dampened with water.
